Overview
The Assemblies of God denomination was started in 1914 in Hot Springs Arkansas, with about 300 people present at their founding convention. Currently, there are almost 13,000 Assemblies of God churches and around 3 million members/adherents in the United States alone. Worldwide, there are about 86 million members of the Assemblies of God denomination, marking it the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world. Today, 22 colleges/universities across the United States are associated with the Assemblies of God.
