Why Kansas?
Kansas is full of historical wonder and natural beauty. Most of Kansas is plains, with some rolling hills taking over towards the west as the altitude steadily increases. Though there are not many mountains to climb, Kansas has plenty of hiking, walking, and touring available to those outdoorsmen. Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is the last of the Tallgrass Prairie, with hills of diverse plant-life stretching outward and graceful Bison grazing the fields. You can hike, go on guided tours, and even fish at the preserve! Kansas is also home to strange and mesmerizing rock formations like Monument Rocks, Caste Rock, and the rugged cliffs at Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park.
