Why Pennsylvania?

The climate in Pennsylvania swings widely from season to season. However, the summers are long and warm, with average temperatures in the 70’s, making for mild, enjoyable conditions. The geography of the state is diverse, as well. From Lake Erie’s coastal plains, to the ridges, valleys, canyons, plateaus, and rolling hills of the Appalachian Mountains, to the fertile farmland that makes up about a quarter of the state, you’ll find a wealth of beautiful scenery. There are over 100 state parks in Pennsylvania, where outdoor adventurers find space for hiking, rock climbing, picnicking, fishing, or biking. Site-seeing attractions includes the historic Gettysburg National Monument, and the town of Hershey, otherwise known as “the sweetest place on earth,” and home of Hersheypark, the state’s largest amusement park. In Philadelphia, the state’s largest city, you can visit the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Philadelphia Museum of Art or one of many professional sporting venues.
