Why Utah?

Utah is home to some of the most stunning scenery around. The landscape is incredibly diverse, with mountain ranges, canyons, valleys, deserts, and even lush greenery. Utah is the perfect place for exploration, with 5 national parks and over 40 state parks, all offering a range of great activities, like hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, kayaking, and more. Utah is home to some of the most captivating rock formations, like the red-rock arches at Arches National Park, or the narrow and picturesque canyons at Zion National Park. Utah is also a great place for winter activities, with several great ski resorts and mountain ranges covered with powdery snow for about half the year. Utah’s climate is also quite diverse, with a wide daily range of temperatures. Because of the dry air, the nights are often cooler, even during the hottest summer days, which, in some parts of Utah, can reach over 100 degrees F. Utah, while mostly uninhabited landscape, does offer a big city experience in Salt Lake City, which takes its name from the Great Salt Lake right next to it.
