Why Virginia?

Virginia is famous for its subtropical climate which has been described as “Goldilocks” weather—not too hot, and not too cold. The state’s diverse geography includes the Appalachian and Blue Ridge mountains in the west, the Piedmont plain in central Virginia, and the Atlantic coastal region in the east. Over 60% of Virginia is forested, but the state also features rocky plateaus, swamps, marshlands and winding rivers. Discover the famous Chincoteague and Assateague islands, the Chesapeake Bay area, Shenandoah National Park or the coastal wilderness and gorgeous beaches along Virginia’s eastern shore. If you prefer city life, Virginia Beach is the largest city in the state with plenty of museums, restaurants, attractions and shopping.
